Annapurna Base Camp Trek – 11 Days

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, you can relax and explore the nearby streets of Thamel. In the evening, you will meet your trekking guide for a short briefing about the Annapurna Base Camp Trek and the days ahead.

After breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara, continue by road toward the trekking starting point. The trek begins through beautiful countryside, terraced farmland, and forested hills before reaching Ghandruk, one of the most beautiful Gurung villages in the Annapurna region. Ghandruk offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and provides an excellent introduction to Himalayan village life.

After breakfast, begin walking through forests and traditional mountain settlements. The trail gradually climbs and descends through the hills before reaching Chhomrong. Chhomrong is an important village on the Annapurna Sanctuary route and offers impressive views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

Today the trail descends toward the Chhomrong Khola before climbing through dense forests. You will walk through beautiful rhododendron and bamboo forests as the landscape becomes more alpine. After several hours of trekking, you reach Bamboo, a peaceful settlement surrounded by forest.

The trail continues deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary. As you gain altitude, the vegetation becomes thinner and the surrounding mountains become more prominent. You will pass through settlements such as Dovan and Himalaya before reaching Deurali. The afternoon is a good time to rest and prepare for the higher-altitude section of the trek.

Today is the main highlight of the trek. The trail follows the valley toward Machhapuchhre Base Camp, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. From here, continue toward the Annapurna Sanctuary and eventually reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters. Standing at the base camp, you are surrounded by some of the most spectacular peaks in the Annapurna range, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. Take time to enjoy the mountain views and capture photographs before settling into the teahouse.

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Annapurna mountains. After breakfast, begin the long descent from Annapurna Base Camp. The trail retraces part of the route through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, and the forested sections before reaching Bamboo. The descent is much easier on altitude, but the long walking day requires good stamina.

Continue descending through lush forests toward Jhinu Danda. Jhinu Danda is famous for its natural hot springs. After reaching the village, you can take some time to relax and, depending on conditions and timing, enjoy the warm natural springs near the river.

After breakfast, continue the final section of the trek toward Nayapul. The trail passes through villages, farmland, and beautiful landscapes before reaching the roadhead. From Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara. Once in Pokhara, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening beside Phewa Lake.

After breakfast, transfer to Pokhara Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is free. You can explore Thamel, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax after your Himalayan adventure.

Your Annapurna Base Camp adventure comes to an end today. Depending on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. We hope you leave Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Annapurna Himalayas.
